Barbara Anne Bieber

Barbara Anne Bieber, 81, of Peoria passed away on September 29, 2026 at The Loft of Peoria in Peoria, IL. She was born to John and Marian (Lackland) Monser on December 02, 1944 in Peoria, IL.

She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly (Jason) Morrise; grandchildren, Scout and Jaden Morrise; brothers, Tom and Bob Monser; and sister, Jeanne Bednorz along with seven nieces and nephews.

Barbara's favorite thing to do was read. She had books in every nook and cranny wherever she lived. Her other favorites included her parents, daughter, grandchildren and son-in-law. She loved her friends and was happiest when they all teased each other in fun. Don't try to talk to her when a game show was on TV, because watching them was another favorite past time.

Before retiring from Macy's, Barbara spent decades chasing down shoplifters in various department stores. She spent most of her career at JCPenney's. If someone dared steal an item from the store where she worked, Barbara turned into a trained athlete, chasing them down every time, all the way to retirement! She took pride in her work and was known as one of the best in the field. 

Memorial services are being arranged and will be announced at a later date. However, friends and family should plan on gathering sometime over Thanksgiving weekend in Peoria to share stories of Barbara's life.
