Brett Todd Colvin

Brett Todd Colvin, age 62, of La Rose Illinois, passed away on Sunday August 24th, 2025 at home surrounded by his loved ones. Brett was born on April 29th, 1963 in Peoria Ilinois, the son of Larry and Mary (Cranford) Colvin. Brett married Tameco Ann Placher on June 15th, 1985 in Lacon Ilinois at St. John's Lutheran Church.

Brett is survived by and will be sadly missed by his wife Tameco (Placher) Colvin at home; their daughter Brittany (Korey) Williamson of Chillicothe Illinois. His two granddaughters Willow and Annsleigh Williamson. His mother Mary Colvin of Henry Illinois. Also surviving are his brothers Anthony (Lisa) Colvin of Lacon & Lance Colvin of Varna Illinois; nieces Sydney, Sierra, Abby, & Isabelle Colvin and Ashley, Hannah, Makenna, & Sydney Placher; Nephews Wyatt Colvin & John Placher. Brett was preceded in death by his father Larry Colvin.

Brett graduated from Mid-County High School in 1981 and then went to Illinois College for two years. This is when he met his loving wife Tameco and started working at International Paper. Brett was a hard worker, after leaving International paper he worked for Club LaCon, Stickel Landscaping, and ended his career at Ajinimoto as a machine operator. Brett was a life-long St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Bears fan. He enjoyed anything that involved sports. Brett loved the outdoors, whether it be golfing with his brothers, mushroom hunting in secret spots, or fishing. He especially loved catching slab crappie in Wisconsin. He spent a lot of his time with his beautiful granddaughters, and the rest of his family.

Cremation rites have been accorded and a celebration of life will be held on September 14 2025 from 1-5pm at the Lake Wildwood Clubhouse near Varna. Cards can be sent from and condolences left at illinicremation.com
