Chad Robert Himlin, 45, of Princeville, Illinois, passed away on July 23,2026 surrounded by family. Chad was born on June 18, 1981, in Peoria, Illinois, the son of Bob and Cheryl (Good) Himlin of Wyoming, Illinois. He is proceeded in death by his father.

Chad leaves behind his beloved wife and best friend of 15 years, Jenine (Gardner), and his five children, Haylee (23), Makya (20), Ava (17), Paislee (14) and Knox (11), who were the greatest joys of his life. He also leaves behind one grandson Granger Carroll (4 months); mother, Cheryl Himlin; and sisters Pam (Dave) McWilliams of Pekin, Illinois and Cathie (Tim) Wolfe of Pekin, Illinois.

Chad graduated from Stark County High School in 1999. He was employed at FMC in Wyoming, Illinois for 12 years. Chad enjoyed spending his time hunting, playing video games, being in the pool and coaching his kid’s sports teams. Chad spent countless hours volunteering his time as a youth coach in basketball, football, and softball. Chad found great joy in sports and was a devoted Chicago Bears, Cubs and Bulls fan.

For over 15 years, he shared a beautiful life with his best friend and love of his life, Jenine. His love for her was evident to everyone who knew them. Through every season of change, every challenge, every adventure, and every blessing, he loved her wholeheartedly. She was his greatest companion, and their marriage was marked by friendship, unwavering commitment, and a lot of laughter. To those who knew them, it was evident that Jenine held his heart from the beginning to the end. Chad and Jenine shared a love that most people dream to find.

Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held from 1:00-4:00pm on August 9th at the American Legion in Dunlap, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Himlin Children Education Fund at Princeville Community Bank.
