John Darren Sweeney, 58, passed away on September 05, 2026 in Peoria, IL. He was born on January 07, 1968 to John and Thomasina (Davis) Sweeney in Peoria, IL.

He is survived by his step-children, Andrew (Courtney) Kinney of Springfield, IL; Hannah Kinney of Monmouth, IL; and Hallie Kinney of Monmouth, IL; step-grandchildren, Sienna, Sirena, Draya, Shai, Rome, Isabelle and Grayson; siblings, Tim Williams(brother) of Pinedale, WY; Tammy Lauber(sister) of Chillicothe, IL; and Robin Sievert(sister) of Chillicothe, IL. He also had many nieces and nephews as well as many great nieces and nephews.

John loved golfing, boating, and was an avid sports fan of football.

Burial will be held at a later date.
