Linda Lou Bunnell

Linda Lou Bunnell, 66, of Peoria passed away January 18, 2026 at Sharon Willows Healthcare in Peoria, IL. She was born to John and Florence (Demmin) Glenn on February 28, 1959 in Peoria, IL. Linda married Timothy W. Bunnell on August 7, 1991. He survives her.

Linda loved to sing and dance around the house, go thrift shopping and go for long drives in the country. She enjoyed seeing Christmas lights at the Festival of Lights and in Forest City, North Carolina. Mostly, she just loved spending time with the love of her life.

Linda and Tim met when Linda was just 13 and Tim was 14. They quickly fell in love and had daughter, Tami, when they were young. The two parted ways for 16 years. During that time, Dawn was born to Linda and her now ex-husband.

When reunited, the two quickly married and stayed together for the next 34 1/2 years until Linda's peaceful rest.

She is survived by her husband, Timothy Bunnell; daughters, Tami (Nick) Christian and Dawn (Ahmed Abushomar) Corbett; sisters, Jane (Tom) Byington and Mary Jo (Mike) Carroll; 4 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service and celebration of life will be held at Avanti's in East Peoria on Linda's birthday, February 28, 2026 from 11AM-3PM.
