Linda Marion Burdick, 78, of Bloomington passed away on December 16, 2025 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Center in Peoria, IL. She was born to Jack and Eileen (Moorehead) Keane on September 15, 1947 in Manhattan, New York.
Linda leaves behind her two beautiful daughters and spouses Abby Elsasser and spouse Steven Elsasser, Emily Bok and Chris Bok she is additionally survived by her four wonderful grandchildren Nicholas Duchnowski (27) Gwendalynn Boyd (24) her husband Dylan Thomas (25), Anastasia Boyd (23) and Roan Elsasser (17). Linda also leaves behind her older brother Peter Keane who lives in Carmel New York. She and Peter spent their childhood together and were very close all their lives. They recalled many trips in the summer to families homes, going on double dates to school dances. She felt Peter was an amazing big brother to have. Linda spent her life dedicated to her children and grandchildren. Looking back upon her photos you can see that they were her world. She helped Emily a lot when her children were younger. Getting them from school and helping with home work. Taking them to the pool and out for lunch, she enjoyed her grandkids to the fullest. She went back to IL in 2012 from Az to help out Abby with Roan and got many years of bonding and building that same connection with Roan. Going to watch him play basketball and out to lunch together. Many times she would adjust her life to help her kids and grand kids out. Linda's passion was kids as a young girl she wanted to get married and be a mom that was what she truly desired to do and be when she got older.
Linda had a wonderful career and passion for interior design and sales as she was truly gifted. She could decorate and transform a room or an ordinary Christmas tree into an art piece. Linda loved to sew and craft in high school she had sewn her own skirts and planned very stylish outfits. She was awarded best dress in high school. She loved to craft as she got older in retirement her passion was doll cloths, for American girl dolls. She got into that through her two grand daughters wanting to make their dolls clothes.
Linda grew up in Brewster, New York with her brothers and her mother and father. Her other brother who passed away in 2021 was John Keane he was the youngest of their family and was dearly loved by both her and Peter. She was a cheerleader in high school and her brother played football. That is where she met her husband of 25 years John Burdick. Linda also had many friends, her best friend for decades Linda Dondero she kept in contact all through their lives. Linda was an avid Christian and lover of Jesus Christ. She spent a good portion of her life studying the Bible. She enjoyed Catholic teachings as a child and grew up in private Catholic schools until she was in High school. She also enjoyed her Christian faith and would volunteer at her beautiful church. Linda was loved by many people and had a huge family outside of her loved ones. She enjoyed her Bible study ladies and all of her friends and wonderful people in Bloomington that became her new community later on. The love from everybody towards the end was so very meaningful to her. Linda will be dearly missed by many.
