Margaret (Peggy) E. Ketterer

Margaret (Peggy) E. Ketterer 88 of Chillicothe Illinois, passed away on October 19, 2026 at her residence in Chillicothe.

Peggy was born on 10-23-1937 in Ferryville, WI to Byron and Mandy Lawrence. She graduated from Desoto High School in 1955.

She married Bobby (Bob) Ketterer in 1957 and they resided in Fennimore, WI until Bob’s work took them to West Chicago, and eventually Peoria, IL.

She worked at several businesses in the medical field Peoria IL, and lastly, Pearl Insurance in Peoria Heights, IL. She was a member of the University Methodist Church and a member of the Elizabeth ministries.

They retired in Peoria and returned to Fennimore WI, to spend time with family. She loved getting together with her sisters and brothers and sister-in-law, joking, laughing and playing dominos. She loved to crochet and quilt, giving many away to family. Peggy enjoyed fishing and cheering for her favorite team, the Green Bay Packers. She was a member of the Fennimore Methodist Church in Fennimore WI.

She was proceeded in death by her husband Bob; her siblings Paul Lawrence; Georgia (Don) Copsey; and Joyce (Floyd) Kleven.

She is survived by her brother Gary (Helen) Lawrence Denver CO, her children Mark (Susie) Ketterer, Bay St Louis MS; Geri Stewart, Chillicothe IL; Mike Ketterer Peoria Heights IL; grandchildren Andrew (Miranda) Ketterer, Chandler AZ, Erin (Stephen) Mackey, Chicago IL; Molly Ketterer, Venice CA; Jasmine Stewart, Peoria IL; Michael Stewart, Pekin IL; Kevin Stewart, DeForest WI; 5 great-grandchildren and one on the way, along with several nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.

A visitation and memorial service will be held on later date in Fennimore WI.
