Randall Fulkerson, 70 earned his wings and made his final journey October 21st after a very long fought battle.
Randy was born in Bloomington IL where he lived the majority of his life. He married his wife in Las Vegas in 1990.
He is survived by his Mother Irene Fulkerson, Debbie his wife of 35 years, his beloved children Marc (Jennifer) Starke, Deric (Brandi) Walsh and Jessie (Mike) Taylor. His most prized treasures Grandchildren Ty & Jake Starke, Jack & Nathan Walsh, Kyra Hough & Kali Taylor.
Randy graduated in 1973 from Normal Community High School concentrating in building trades. He served his Carpentry Apprenticeship from Carpenters Local Union 63. He was a gifted Craftsman, building everything from ISU's Library, Hotels on mountain tops, Apartment complexes, several McMansions, 100's of homes, to furniture for over 40 years. He loved his work and never had one call back in all the years. He was once requested to testify in court as an Expert Carpenter Witness which tickled him.
Some of Randy's other passions included watching his Childen & Grandbabies grow, watching them play baseball and racing, fishing, and camping/travel.
Randy was a quiet, gentle giant. He was a humble Man and lived a good life, full of love and compassion. Nary a bad word crossed his lips about anyone else. He was a devoted husband, and wonderful Dad and PawPaw. We will miss him and he will forever be in our hearts.
We are hoping to spread his ashes as he wished, on a mountain top he once visited in Colorado which he referred to as God's country, and have a celebration of life during such, in the spring.
Randy was very appreciative of all the Hospice Angel's and Dr that helped care with keeping him comfortable during his long battle. Along with all the Prayer warriors.
