Robert L. Long

Robert L. Long, 33, of Woodhull passed away on October 11, 2025 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg, IL. He was born to Brian and Rosezona (Boers) Long on October 31, 1991 in Springfield, IL.

He was an avid reader, he would read the Guinness book of World records and retain most of the information. He was a walking Wikipedia when it came to conversations. Not only that, but he liked fishing, camping, video gaming with his son, and hanging out with his son Maddox. Rob was considered a rare gentleman, he always opened the door for every lady. He would go above and beyond to help people. Rob had a sense of humor that took high intelligence to understand sometimes.

Robert is survived by Maddox Lee Long (son) Colona IL, Jennifer and Ryan Damer (sister) Alpha IL , Kenneth Long (grandfather) Normal, Melody Long (Aunt) Conroe TX, 2 nephews (Alpha, IL), 4 nieces, and Bernadette Jefko Melow (girlfriend) Woodhull IL.

He is preceded in death by his 3 of 4 grandparents, and 3 uncles.

There will be a celebration of life on November 1st at Genisio's at 1pm in Woodhull, IL.  There will be a second celebration of life on November 2nd  at Canton Elk's Lodge in Canton, IL at 1 pm.
