Sheryl Ann Ward, 54, of Metamora, IL passed away at OSF St. Francis medical center on July 9th, 2025 at 2:15pm. She was born on April 19th, 1971 in Peoria, IL to Edgar and Margie Ward. Sheryl fought a long, difficult, and courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma, ever since 2022. She was such a warrior and never gave up.
She is survived by: Siblings – Bill (Jennifer), Eddie (Nora), Diana (John), & Aunt Tina (Vic). Children – Andrew (Amanda), Joe (Ashley), and Danielle. Grandchildren – Lauren, Bailey, Cora, Owen, Nolan, Jordyn, Colton, Brock, & Jocelyn, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her mother, father, Aunt Carol, Uncle Don, and Uncle Steve, all of whom she loved dearly.
Sheryl was an extraordinary individual. She had such a passion for God, family, and life, and her love for her family and friends knew no bounds. Sheryl was a woman of God, an amazing mother, adored and cherished sister, daughter, aunt, friend, and co-worker, and was one of the most caring, loving, protective, and hard-working people to know.
One of the biggest joys in her life was being a grandmother. She always enjoyed and looked forward to spending as much time as she could with each and every one her grandkids. She carried the beloved titles of “Gram Gram” and “Nana”, and held them close to her heart.
The special love of her life, Bob, was her rock. Bob became part of the family over 30 years ago, and was such a light in her life. Through thick and thin, on good days and bad, and on every walk of life, Bob was there. He supported her through so much, and their bond is, was, and always will be such a special thing.
One other special individual in her life was her girl, Piper. Piper was just a pup when she came home with Sheryl at the start of the Pandemic. Over the last 5 years Piper girl was always by her side. Whether it was in the kitchen while cooking dinner, snuggled up in bed, or helping wrangle the grandkids, Piper was by her side for it all. She loved her mama so much!
Sheryl is, and always will be loved by so many, and will forever be in our hearts.
