Shirley Joyce Mansfield

Shirley Joyce Mansfield, 86, of East Peoria passed away November 15, 2025 at her residence. She was born June 13, 1939 to David and Ruby (Smiley) Robenstein in Benson, IL.

She had a very strong faith and leaned on God for everything in her life. She was always surrounded by family and loved spoiling her grandkids in many different ways. Shirley loved crafts of all kinds and always seemed to have another project in progress. Spring was her favorite time of the year with all the freshness and colors surrounding her while gardening or just enjoying God's magnificence. Genealogy became a passion after her retirement. She spent hours upon hours researching and documenting all sides of her family even meeting family members she had not previously known, including extended family members from Germany.  

She was preceded in death by her son Ronald Lee Mansfield and granddaughter Rachel Lynn Mansfield.

She is survived by Toni Jo Schultz (Alvin) East Peoria, Il.; Thomas E Mansfield Jr (Sandra) Ocala, Fl.; Kathleen Sue Mansfield East Peoria, Il; David George Mansfield (Shelly) Washington, Il.; Cheryl Lynn Mansfield East Peoria, Il. 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

There will be a Celebration of Life Friday at Bethel Lutheran Church 325 E Queenswood Dr Morton, Il 61550. Visitation will be start at 4:30 with service starting at 5:30. The service will be followed by a reception in the church rectory. We invite all to attend.

In lieu of flowers we ask that memorial donations be made to The American Cancer Society/Ovarian Cancer.

Burial will be private in Secor, IL.
