Sullivan Rogers, Jr., 80 years old passed away peacefully on January 19, 2026 in Peoria, Illinois. Sullivan was born March 22, 1945, in Leland, MS to Sullivan Rogers and Annie Bell Rogers. He was a cherished dad, brother, and uncle.

Sullivan “Jr” gave his life to the Lord at an early age and served as a deacon at Star of Hope Baptist Church. He retired from Keystone Steel & Wire after working for 35 years. He was a man of few words, but always ready with good advice if you asked him.

He is survived by his daughter Sophia (Earnest) of Peoria, IL, daughter Minnie (Michael) of Eagan, MN; his grandchildren Tyja, Andrea, Seth, and Elijah; great-daughter Sofia; sisters Dora (Melvin) McAfee of Peoria, IL, Earnestine (James) Rogers of Mississippi, Barbara Roberts, and Charles Rogers both of Minnesota and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mom, dad, sisters Cathy Travis, Gloria Mitchell, Annie Green; and brothers Rudolph “Doc” Rogers and Terry Rogers.

The family will have a celebration of life at a later date.

Sophia and Minnie would like to thank the staff of The Loft of Peoria for the wonderful care they provided for their father.
