Tadd C. Kingen

Tadd Christopher Kingen, 55, of Lacon Illinois, died on August 6, 2025 at his home. Born in Peoria Illinois to the late Frank and Ethel (Davis) Kingen, he married Roberta Jean Craig on February 3, 1997 in Lacon. She survives.

also surviving are his children Travis Kingen of Lacon, Audrey (Todd) Rodney of Pasadena California; brother Brian (Amber) Kingen of Sparland; sister Julie (Jason) Scherer of Sparland; granddaughters Evelyn & Amalie and several nieces & nephews.

Tadd grew up in Sparland, Illinois, where he graduated high school and played basketball for the Hilltoppers. He worked various careers in the area, including Fennell's Steel and the village of Sparland. Tadd was locally known as our pizza delivery guy. He started with the Pizza Peel in downtown Lacon, later transferring to Casey’s General store to deliver their pizzas to the community he loved. He enjoyed crafting wooden Plaques with mushrooms and making canes in his spare time. Tadd loved listening to old country music and watching horror movies. He loved to travel to Hank Williams concerts and hang out with friends. The interior of his home was beautifully decorated by him for his wife in a Halloween theme.he was a loving son, brother and uncle. He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.
